It’s almost Valentine’s Day! You may opt to spend the night in or go out for a socially distanced date night. Whichever you choose, we have some recipes and recommendations for your romantic night in or out!
If you’re ordering in, you can add chocolate covered strawberries and sumptuous desserts from our bakery. But if you’re in the mood for a homemade dessert that gives a nod to chocolate covered strawberries, these Dark Chocolate Strawberry Cookies are a simple addition to try. Bake them ahead and serve with a Strawberry Frosé (recipe below) or with your sweetheart’s beverage of choice.
Dark Chocolate Strawberry Cookies
Ingredients
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
3 oz cream cheese
2 large eggs
18 oz box of strawberry cake mix
¾ cup dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 F
- Line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper
- In a large bowl, beat together butter, cream cheese, and eggs
- Mix in the cake mix
- Once all is combined, stir in chocolate chips
- Roll the dough into 1 tbs balls
- Bake for 8-10 minutes
- Let cookies cool on cookie sheet for 5-10 minutes, then move to wire rack
Pink Strawberry Frosé
Ingredients
- A bottle of your favorite rosé
- 6 cups frozen strawberries
Instructions
- Add your ingredients to a blender
- Blend
- Enjoy!

The Accidental Artist is open from 12-6 on Sunday’s, but they do recommend calling ahead to reserve a table on weekends.
Or you can always head to the beach! Pack up your cookies and frosé, grab a blanket, and enjoy the sunset on the sand.
