Fall 2022

For an autumn wedding, dress your cake in toasty warm tones like burnt sienna, mustard, and maroon. Add in metallic accents of bronze or copper to bring a hint of glam to your dessert table! Consider using dried florals to decorate the cake—these are trendy and won’t wilt. Place your fall wedding cake on a wood slice stand to fully embrace the season!

Winter

For a winter wedding, there are two main cake decorating trends. One option is to celebrate the pureness of fresh snow. Keep the design minimal and stick to white and off-white. Use florals or small bits of greenery or garland to add a finishing touch.

If simple and delicate aren’t what you’re looking for in a winter wedding cake, choose dark and moody colors like deep forest green, navy, or burgundy. Rich gold accents can liven up these darker wintery hues.

Spring

Wedding cakes in spring 2023 will be fresh and floral. Adorn your cake in fresh wildflowers and fresh fruits, or try pressed flowers for a unique, on-trend look. Figs, berries, and citrus can come in a variety of colors to match almost any color scheme. Spring cakes can also feature flavors in line with their embellishments. Opt for a citrus flavor like lemon or keep it fruity with strawberry or cherry.  You can even go for classic vanilla to give the colorful springtime designs a canvas on which to shine.
